  • Teresa Hagan Thomas PHD, BA, RN

    Dr. Teresa Hagan Thomas is a nurse and scientist at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing. Thomas holds an undergraduate degree in anthropology and international peace studies from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of nursing science and a PhD in nursing research from the University of Pittsburgh. She also held a postdoctoral fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Thomas has an active, funded program of research focusing on promoting patient self-advocacy among individuals with cancer, including testing patient interventions to promote self-advocacy, patient-centered care, and quality of life.

    Dr. Faith Selchick is a board-certified adult-oncology nurse practitioner and adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner specializing in oncology. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Connecticut, her Master of Science in Nursing from Yale University, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Duke University. She also has an undergraduate degree in psychology. Currently, she’s based in New York, practicing as an oncology nurse practitioner. In addition to her clinical work, she writes continuing education content and modules for nurses and advanced practice registered nurses.
