The anterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery, as the name implies, supplies blood to the pancreas and duodenum.

The pancreas is an organ in our abdomen that helps convert nutrients into fuel. It aids in digestion and regulation of blood sugar. The duodenum is the beginning of the small intestine. The duodenum plays a role in preparing partially digested food for absorption in the small intestine.

The anterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery branches off the gastroduodenal artery, along with the right gastroepiploic artery. The anterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery goes over the front of the pancreas and generally follows the loop of the duodenum.  It has branches into both the pancreas and duodenum.
