Reader Videos and Photos Share Messages of Hope and Encouragement

 SAN FRANCISCO – January 5, 2015 –, a leading source of timely health information, news and resources, today announced it is partnering with the National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF), the world’s largest nonprofit serving millions of Americans with psoriatic disease, to launch a new social media initiative aimed at supporting and empowering those who are living with psoriasis. Social media helps many people with psoriatic disease realize that others know just what they’re going through.” People can participate in two ways:

  • “You’ve Got This” Videos – As part of’s “You’ve Got This” video series, people who are affected by psoriasis are urged to submit video messages of hope, encouragement and advice for those who have been newly diagnosed with the condition. The videos will be shared on and Healthline’s “Living with Psoriasis” Facebook community. To submit a video, simply record a message of no more than two minutes, upload your video on YouTube and share the link on Healthline’s “You’ve Got This” For every video submitted, Healthline will donate $10 to the NPF.
  • #PSelfie Photos – People with psoriasis, both those who have been recently diagnosed and those who have been living with it for some time, are encouraged to submit photos of themselves with psoriasis or inspirational quotes that will help others. To submit a photo or quote, visit Healthline’s #PSelfie page and upload the photo or quote. Photos can also be posted on Instagram using the tag #PSelfie. Healthline will donate $10 to the NPF for every photo or quote submitted.
