Parachute Home began in 2014, manufacturing “all things soft and wonderful,” such as sheets, towels, robes, rugs.

Since then, they’ve added mattresses, baby items, and other high quality home decor items to their online store, and have even opened several brick-and-mortar storefronts. Currently, they also have a capsule collection of their most-loved items for sale at Crate & Barrel.

Still, one of their most popular items is their sheets, which are made in Europe and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. If you’re thinking about purchasing a set but are still on the fence, this article will tell you everything you need to know to make a decision.

The prices below are for a set. At Parachute, this means one fitted sheet and two standard pillowcases. Top sheets are sold separately or may be added to your set for an additional cost.

A note on editorial testing

Sifting through product descriptions and customer reviews can be overwhelming. We’re here to make researching products easier.

In some cases, that means having our writers and editors test products to see how they perform in real life. In others, we rely on crowdsourcing reviewer feedback from retail sites.

For this review, Healthline editors tested out the percale and linen sheet sets. Our writer also reviewed online customer feedback for other Parachute sheet sets.

Percale Sheet Set

  • Material: 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton
  • Colors: White, Cream, Sand, Light Grey, Blush, Slate, Clay, and Putty
  • Sizes: Twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, and California king

Parachute describes their percale sheets as comparable to the perfect white button-down shirt. Crisp, clean, and classic. For sleepers who run hot, these stay cool to the touch and are breathable.

A Healthline editor who tried these sheets said, “They’re pretty light and crisp — more crisp than what I’m used to, but Parachute doesn’t pre-soften their textiles so I expect they’ll soften up a bit more over time.”

She also notes that the pillowcases have an envelope-style opening, which makes them feel neat and polished.

Online reviewers love how sturdy yet light and crisp these sheets are, and say they were surprised by how soft they are, considering their crispness. Some reviewers also comment that the fitted sheet has deep pockets to accommodate taller mattresses.

Linen Sheet Set

  • Material: European flax
  • Colors: White, Bone, Fog, Grey, Blush, Coal, Shore, Surplus, Terra, and Clay
  • Sizes: Twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, and California king

Durable and breathable, linen sheets provide a more casual look while keeping sleepers cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Linen is also naturally antimicrobial as well as eco-friendly since it’s made from natural flax fibers.

A Healthline editor slept on these sheets and says they’re the most comfortable she’s ever had. She mentioned they’re super soft and have a nice weight to them, but they sleep cool — a huge bonus for hot sleepers. Like the percale sheets, the envelope closure on the pillowcases keeps your pillow from shifting around at night.

Many online reviewers also say they were surprised by how soft these sheets were, some even comparing them to the feel of flannel against their skin while remaining breathable. There were a few complaints about how comfortable these sheets were, however, causing people to avoid getting out of bed!

Sateen Sheet Set

  • Material: 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton
  • Colors: White, Sand, Light Grey, and Slate
  • Sizes: Twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, and California king

The Parachute Sateen Sheet Set is the least reviewed set on Parachute’s site by far, but those who have purchased them are big fans. There are very few negative reviews overall, and most of them are around the design of the pillowcases, which other reviewers love.

The finish of these sheets provides a silky sheen and feel without having to purchase silk sheets.

Brushed Cotton Sheet Set

  • Material: 100% cotton
  • Colors: White, Ivory, and Ochre
  • Sizes: Full, queen, king, and California king

The Parachute Brushed Cotton Sheet Set is made from woven cotton and gently brushed and washed before being shipped, making it the softest offering from Parachute. Like wearing your favorite old T-shirt, the website promises.

These sheets are meant to be cozy, and warmer than the percale option while cooler than the sateen sheets.

One thing to note is that this style doesn’t come in twin or twin XL.

Some negative reviews also complain about discoloring after a few washes.

Choosing bedsheets is a very personal decision, and it can feel tricky to do online. If you can’t shop at one of their stores in person, do keep in mind that Parachute offers a 60-day return period from the date of purchase for any reason.

Parachute offers a variety of materials and sizes to fit most sleepers’ needs. If you’re looking for a crisp, cool set, you may want to try the percale, but if you’re looking for something that feels silky smooth, try the sateen instead. For an in-between feel, go with brushed cotton. If you want a breathable, eco-friendly set, linen may be a great choice.

No matter which set you choose, rest assured that all are machine washable and can go in the dryer.

You can also purchase fabric swatches for each of Parachute’s sheet materials to help you decide which to choose as well as to color match your home decor.

Parachute recommends all of its sheets be washed in cool water using mild, liquid laundry detergent. Additionally, they recommend against bleach.

Tumble dry on low and use wool dryer balls instead of dryer sheets. Remove the sheets promptly from the dryer, and iron on low heat if you would like, as the sheets can come out of the dryer a bit wrinkly.

Some reviewers mention that the sheets shrunk in the wash, but only minimally.

Parachute sheets may be purchased directly from Parachute online as well as in their several stores, including by curbside pickup.

Shipping is free for all 50 United States and military bases, with expedited shipping available for all domestic orders. Shipping to American territories is calculated by USPS, and sheets may be shipped to Canada for a predetermined cost at the time of your order.

While stores occasionally have their own promotions, Parachute typically has two sales per year: around Memorial Day and around Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Although Parachute sheets don’t come with a warranty, the brand does accept returns for any reason within 60 days. You can mail in your return, or go in person to any Happy Returns partner (there are over 200 locations nationwide). Alternatively, you can take your return to any Parachute store.

In the 7 years of Parachute’s existence, the store has grown from an online outlet of few textiles to a much larger retailer of home decor, clothing, and other items.

They offer several sheet styles in an array of colors to suit many sleepers. Their thousands of reviews offer honest endorsements for the nights of sleep in your future if you choose to buy from Parachute.

Look out for their biannual promotion and don’t forget to add a top sheet if you prefer to sleep with one.
