Peloton offers two exercise bikes, including the Peloton and Peloton Bike+.

The Peloton Bike+ is a bit more expensive but includes a larger touchscreen. It also comes with more special features, such as automatic resistance adjustment and Apple GymKit integration, which allows you to pair your Apple Watch with the bike.

Both models include access to a variety of live and on-demand exercise classes and training programs.

Peloton also offers bundled package options, which provide additional workout accessories and equipment.

MYX Fitness has two packages to choose from, including the MYX and MYX Plus.

Both include the same exercise bike, which is equipped with an interactive touchscreen tablet that you can use to stream hundreds of full-body workouts.

However, the MYX Plus comes with additional accessories, including a gym mat, weight set, foam roller, and resistance band, for a more comprehensive home gym solution.

Size

Both Peloton bikes are similar in size and measure 59 inches (150 cm) long. However, the Peloton is slightly larger at 23 inches (58 cm) wide, while the Peloton Bike+ is just 22 inches (56 cm) wide.

In terms of weight, the Peloton weighs 135 pounds (61 kg), and the Peloton Bike+ weighs 140 pounds (63.5 kg).

The MYX bike is a bit more compact and measures 54 inches (137 cm) long by 21 inches (53 cm) wide.

It also weighs 134 pounds (60.8 kg), which is slightly less than both Peloton models.

Pedals

The Peloton and Peloton Bike+ include LOOK Delta aluminum pedals, which require the use of Delta-compatible cleats.

In contrast, the MYX bike comes with dual-purpose pedals that can be used with SPD clips or regular athletic shoes.

Seat

Both Peloton models are equipped with a sports series saddle intended to help optimize performance.

Meanwhile, the MYX bike includes a standard road bike saddle, which is designed to accommodate users of many sizes.

With both brands, you can easily swap out the seat or add a cushioned seat cover for extra comfort if needed.

Height and weight capacity

Both the Peloton and Peloton Bike+ are recommended for riders ranging from 4’11” (150 cm) to 6’4″ (193 cm) and have a maximum weight capacity of 297 pounds (134.7 kg).

Compared with the Peloton, the MYX bike has a higher height and weight capacity and can accommodate users of a variety of sizes.

In fact, the MYX bike can be used by those from 4’11” (150 cm) to 6’8″ (203 cm) and can accommodate riders up to 350 pounds (158.8 kg).

Display

All three products offer touchscreen displays, which you can use to stream a variety of exercise classes.

Here are the screen sizes for each model:

  • Peloton: 21.5 inches (54.6 cm)
  • Peloton Bike+: 23.8 inches (60.5 cm)
  • MYX bike: 21.5 inches (54.6 cm)

Additionally, both the Peloton Bike+ and MYX feature swiveling monitors, so you can take your workout from the bike to the mat.

Training options

The Peloton and Peloton Bike+ require a monthly All-Access membership, which provides access to Peloton’s extensive library of live and on-demand workout classes.

During the live classes, you can compete with other riders and compare your stats using the leaderboard.

The app also offers a variety of noncycling workouts, including boot camp, yoga, stretching, and meditation classes.

Both Peloton bikes are equipped with a resistance knob to make your ride easier or harder. However, the Peloton Bike+ also includes an Auto Follow feature, which adjusts your resistance automatically to match your instructor’s during class.

Finally, the Peloton Bike+ includes Apple GymKit integration, which allows you to pair your bike with your Apple Watch to track your workouts more efficiently.

Similarly, the MYX bike also requires a monthly MYX membership and offers hundreds of full-body workout classes, including yoga, Pilates, barre, and high intensity interval training.

Unlike Peloton, MYX doesn’t currently offer live classes or leaderboards. However, new classes are added daily to help mix up your workout routine.

MYX also focuses on heart-rate-based training and features SmartMYX technology, which provides personalized exercise class recommendations based on your fitness goals.

One of the main differences between Peloton’s and MYXfitness’s exercise bikes is the cost.

Here are the prices for each bike, all of which include delivery and assembly:

  • Peloton: $1,895
  • Peloton Bike+: $2,495
  • MYX: $1,299
  • MYX Plus: $1,499

Both brands also require monthly memberships. Peloton’s All-Access membership costs $38 per month, while MYX’s membership is slightly cheaper at $29 per month.

While the MYX Plus includes additional accessories, such as a weight set and gym mat, these items have to be purchased individually from Peloton.

Finally, exercise bikes from both brands also come with a 1-year warranty on parts, labor, and accessories, along with a 5-year warranty on the frame.

Although it may come with a higher price tag, Peloton produces high end bikes packed with impressive features.

For example, the Peloton Bike+ includes automatic resistance adjustment and connects to your Apple Watch for easy fitness tracking.

Both Peloton bikes also offer a wide range of live and on-demand classes along with leaderboards, which may be preferable if you enjoy exercising with family and friends to stay motivated.

On the other hand, the MYX bike is a budget-friendly and effective alternative to Peloton.

It’s not only cheaper than Peloton, but the monthly membership is more affordable as well.

While MYX doesn’t offer live classes, it boasts a large library of on-demand workout classes and a convenient swiveling touchscreen display for exercising on the bike or the floor.

MYX also has a higher height and weight capacity, making it a more suitable option for riders of different sizes.

Both Peloton and MYX are high quality exercise bikes that offer an effective workout from home.

However, several notable differences set them apart, especially in terms of price, product specs, and available training options.

Be sure to consider these factors when determining which exercise bike is right for you.
