For people dealing with invisible illnesses, such as mental health concerns, tattoos can be a way of saying something about themselves that their bodies aren’t otherwise expressing on their own. That’s why some people who live with depression are getting ink inspired by their own mental health story.
Do you have a tattoo inspired by your experience with depression? Share it with us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “My Mental Health Tattoo.” It could be featured on Healthline and shared with our community!
In your submission email, please include:
- a clear photo of your tattoo (the larger and clearer the photo, the better!)
- a short description of what your tattoo means to you and/or the story behind it
- whether you’d like your name to be included with your submission
