Who says you can’t have chocolate for breakfast? When it’s made into these healthy pancakes, how can anyone resist? 


  • 1¼ cups chocolate soy or almond milk
  • 1 medium banana, mashed
  • 3 tablespoons applesauce
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 3½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar


In a small bowl, whisk together milk, banana and applesauce. Set aside. 

In a large bowl, whisk together the last three ingredients. Add milk mixture and stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. 

Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat and spray with vegetable cooking spray. Pour enough batter to form a 4-inch wide pancake. Cook 1 ½ to 2 minutes or until bubbles form on the surface and is golden brown on the bottom. Gently flip over and cook 1 to 1 ½ minutes or until fully cooked.

Serve immediately.
