School Rewards and Random Acts of Fitness

I love it when a major food company takes the initiative to encourage fitness and eating right, especially when geared toward our children. Subway has two amazing programs that I wanted to tell you about. The Random Acts of Fitness is great for educators but the School Rewards program can be used by anyone!

Random Acts of Fitness Program
  • For educators (could also be used in community centers, before/after school programs, etc…)
  • Provides free nutrition and fitness curriculum to teachers that sign up
  • Content comes from American Heart Association, National Institutes of Health (SUBWAY has partnerships with both)
  • Kit contains a teacher’s calendar, reward stickers, classroom poster, parent/guardian letter and a teacher’s guide
  • For more information, click here or go to www.subwaykids.com/grownups/classroom
Subway School Rewards
  • Fundraiser for schools
  • Load money on a SUBWAY card (online or in –store)
  • Link card to your school (on www.subwayschoolrewards.com)
  • Use the card when dining at SUBWAY and your school gets rewarded
  • Schools get checks twice a year and can use money how they choose
  • Parents should spread the word—the more people who link a card to their kids school, the better it is for the school (you don’t have to be part of the school district to link to that school—so Grandparents in Florida could link to their grand kids school in New York)
  • For more information, click here
In addition, Jared makes appearances at schools, conferences, and sporting events more than 200 days a year, where he shares his experiences as an obese child and encourages kids to eat right and exercise.
