Best Workout

I know that this blog is called the Diet Dish but I just had to tell you about a new workout I have been doing lately. It is so incredible I just had to share! Jenny Evans, the creator of this workout is brilliant!

It is called Powerhouse Hit the Deck. In a nutshell, it is a deck of 35 exercise cards and a timer. You set the timer for 30 seconds and draw a card. There are 5 warm up and cool down cards and the other 30 cards are divided into 3 different levels called "No Sweat," "I'm Glistening," and "Sweating Buckets." The "No Sweat" cards are the easiest and the "Sweating Buckets" cards are the hardest. It honestly works for all ability levels (don't be intimidated by her rock hard body). You can adjust the workout to suit your needs (light, moderate, intense).

You can do as many cards as you want in one workout and you can set the timer for whatever you want (they recommend 30 seconds to start). I was AMAZED at how slow 30 seconds goes by sometimes and how incredible of a workout I can get from doing 15 cards of the 30 in the set (not including the warm up and cool down cards). I literally work out for 15-20 minutes and get a full body workout (arms, legs, chest, back, abs, and even your heart). Doing 30 seconds of squat jumps leaves me panting like a dog.

The deck sells for only $20 and you can order it online and get it shipped quite easily. It requires NO equipment (amazing what you can do with body weight alone) and you can throw it into a suitcase and do it in a hotel room. No excuses!

I LOVE IT! Check it out and let me know what you think!
