Wilmington is home to one of the best addiction treatment centers in North Carolina, Wilmington Treatment Center. The treatment center has been providing addiction treatment for 3 decades, with a focus on an integrated family approach and tailored individual programs. Those without insurance can find care at Tileston Medical Clinic or New Hanover Community Health Center, which has adult and pediatric care, dental care, and a pharmacy. Wilmington does not have a medical school, though NHRMC is a teaching hospital.
