We’ve already had a record number of applications for this year’s DiabetesMine Patient Voices Scholarship Contest, but don’t miss out: Today is your last day to apply.

To recap, we are once again offering full scholarships* to up to 10 engaged PWDs (people with diabetes) or caregivers to travel out to San Francisco to represent the Patient Community at our Fall DiabetesMine Innovation Days.

*Scholarships cover airfare, ground transportation, two hotel nights, conference fees and a daily meal allowance.

All you have to do is fill out this Entry Form and convince us that you have the heart of a passionate diabetes advocate, who is well-spoken and eager to contribute to this amazing forum…

Our Innovation Days bring together informed patient advocates with leading Pharma and medical device leaders, healthcare designers, regulatory experts, clinicians, mobile health experts / visionaries, entrepreneurs, investors, and more.

Last November, we introduced a new format called “DiabetesMine University,” in which informed patient advocates and other experts led workshops on various aspects of cutting-edge diabetes care: exciting new tools and how they are used IRL, what impacts patient adoption and adherence, and more. We’re excited to be doing it again in Fall 2019!

The “University” consists of our annual DiabetesMine Innovation Summit and the more deep-tech focused D-Data ExChange event that have traditionally run back-to-back each Fall in the San Francisco Bay Area. Class will be in session this year on Nov. 7-8, 2019, at the UCSF Mission Bay biotech conference center.

Our 2019 workshops will cover new frontiers: novel methods for capturing and processing patient insights; how healthcare payers are working to “reinvent the customer experience”; new platforms to help patients make technology choices; and what to expect in the future of patient-led innovation.

If you want to be part of it, apply here by 8pm PST, Friday, June 21, 2019.

Still need convincing? We just recently held our Summer 2019 D-Data ExChange event at the gorgeous San Francisco Golden Gate Club. The event was over-capacity and bursting with creative energy.

Here’s what attendees are saying:

An inspiring and uplifting event, every time! No other meeting brings this caliber people together under one roof.”

– Saleh Adi, MD, UCSF Madison Diabetes Clinic

This is the place where diabetes advocates, pharma leaders, developers, clinicians, designers, and other groups interested in diabetes tech for diabetes management, and of course a better quality of life, get together and work together. An event where people with diabetes can be heard. Thank you for making this happen.

– Mariana Gomez, Beyond Type 1 Project Manager

#DData ExChange brings together a community and fosters innovation to improve diabetes management and think less about diabetes and more about life.

– Sri Mruthik, Head of Development, Interconnected Diabetes Management, Ascensia Diabetes Care

It’s great to see the passion of people I’ve admired from a distance (online) in real life sharing their work.

– Liam McMorrow, PhD, founder of Adelie Health and person with T1D

I love attending the #DData Exchange to stay connected to the innovative patient community and be in the ‘know’ on cutting-edge work.”

– Deb Greenwood, CDE and past president of AADE (American Association of Diabetes Educators)

Once the contest closes tonight, our team will be reviewing applications along with this year’s DOC guest judge Kerri Sparling, diabetes advocate and creator of SixUntilMe. Winners will be announced by early August.
