Do not use skin products that contain benzoyl peroxide, sulfur, resorcinol, or salicylic
acid unless otherwise directed by your doctor. These products can cause severe skin irritation if
used with tretinoin topical.
The following drugs can interact with tretinoin topical, which can make your skin more
sensitive to natural and artifical sunlight. Before using this medication, tell your doctor if you are
using any of these:
This list is not complete and there may be other drugs that can affect
tretinoin topical. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter medications you
use. This includes vitamins, minerals, herbal products, and drugs prescribed by other doctors.
Do not start using a new medication without telling your doctor.
Stop using this medication and get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face,
lips, tongue, or throat.
Other, less serious side effects are more likely to occur. Keep using the medication and
talk to your doctor if you have any of these side effects: burning, warmth, stinging, tingling,
itching, redness, swelling, dryness, peeling, irritation, or discolored skin.
