I love surfing and I love yoga and I love teaching. So, I put my passions together to create this yoga for surfers’ video. Yoga for Surfers 3 unleashed is about building flexible strength and power to help you stay fit, focused and fearless. It is definitely an advanced practice. If you are new to yoga or you’d like a less challenging routine, check out Yoga for Surfers 1 or Yoga for Board Sports. Both programs have excellent warm up and recovery segments, perfect to do when you want a less rigorous workout. In Yoga for Surfers 3, we will start by working the core muscles of the abs and back while developing balance and coordination. Next, we’ll work on lower body strength and flexibility while developing mental focus. Then, we will open and strengthen the upper body as we drop any self limitations and soar. We will end with a rejuvenating, relaxation sequence to promote a sense of well-being and calm energy. To get the most from your yoga practice, make sure you have digested your previous meals so the blood can flow to your muscles instead of your stomach and be sure to have a surf leisure strap on hand as well as a couple of pillows or blankets that we’ll use in some of the poses. You can also break up this practice doing each segment on a different day. Try to practice some yoga everyday even for just five minutes. The effects of yoga deepen over time so stay with it. And remember, yoga is not about mastering a series of poses. Yoga is about being present, connecting to your true self and trusting who you are. Yoga helps you to stay calm and focused in challenging situations so you remain aware, alive, centered in your own essence, staying balanced, calm and free. With Yoga for Surfers 3, you will learn to connect to that deepest part of yourself so your surfing can be the unique expression of your own power, energy and spirit. Let us begin.
