Holding hands with girls is icky; it will give you cooties. Those simple days when boys were so simple or were they. According to a team of researcher at the University of Colorado, they were actually right. Boys being right? Well, that is a major scientific breakthrough. As reported by YourTango, the heretofore innocent act of holding hands is much dirtier than we all thought. Not only did bacteria samples from 102 hands, reveal 4737 unique strains of bacteria but our crack researchers claimed that women have a greater diversity of bacteria on their hands and a higher number of a unique bacteria under the skin that can't be washed away not even with our tears. Oh, science you are cruel. But here is the rub and I am not talking about antibacterial lotion. The researchers don't know exactly why our hands makes the streets of New York seem like the surfaces of an operating room but theories range from lack of acidity necessary to kill out germs to our sweet smelling lotion to hormones. Always with those pesky hormones. If scientists remain in the dark, I would suggest they call in guest researcher, Christina Aguilera; after all she knows a lot about she knows a lot about getting dirty. We are going to get dirty, We are going to hold hands with my boyfriend, Then I am going to give him bacteria, That he can't wash off....
