Victoria Weil: The Varicose veins were painful, but sort of the heaviness in the legs. Linda Leon: It was a throbbing pain, especially behind the knee area where the vein was, so it definitely pains like that when I was standing up or exercising. Michelle Haggar: With Varicose veins I've had some problems after my first pregnancy, I mean not enough that I was wanted to take over that point. I had some fears and people said wait -- having children, my second child that got extremely bad. Loretta Colak: The vanity and also if comfort, sometimes they do feel like funny sensation in my leg. My legs are throbbing. Luis Navarro: The more important factor in developing veins is a congenital predisposition to develop veins, which we are born. There is a fault between the walls of the vein or the vein wall falls, and then certain factors that we call accelerating factors, will make these veins to appear, that of course hormones, pregnancies, lack of exercise etcetera. Light a little bit -- Ms. Colak, who is going to have the Endolaser procedure today. What we'll do is we'll pass the laser from this point to grind, seal the main vein, and then with two or three little knits and the little hooks will remove all the superficial bulges. Loretta Colak: I waited because everyone is always taking preference, before me so now it's time for me. My expectation is to get rid of this vein, no bulging on this right leg, hopefully less black and blue looking, and hopefully I'll be happy. Luis Navarro: Only one patient -- may be four will need Endolaser procedure of some type. The surgery it was done to remove the vein, the main vein ligations which now has been replaced or more modern procedure like Endovenous laser ablation, which we with laser energy we seal the main vein and its done in the -- with the local anaesthesia. It takes about 45 minutes, the patient is awake and by following the procedure patient returns to life. This procedure we develop here at the Vein Treatment Center between the 1997 and 1999 was and had the approval in 2002 and we owners of the center. Most patients come early into disease and can be treated with just sclerotherapy. Like everything in medicine, the sooner you treat the problem being spider veins or varicose veins, you'll have faster result of much -- Victoria Weil: I have nothing done so far, it's all new to me. I'm little nervous, I think they want to injections for my veins. There is some question as to whether the solution will affect breast milk, so there's not a lot of information about that yet, so I'm starting pretty early, but it's summer I cannot stand the way my legs look. Luis Navarro: Okay now, I'm going to inject the needle, it's very, very fine. Usually we will treat varicose veins due to pregnancy six weeks after delivery, but at that time, the veins have come down inside, but what's left after six weeks? It needs to be treated to be taken care. Victoria Weil: I don't know what to expect right now, afterwards I'm hoping that my legs will look perfect from the point after pictures of research I doubt that will happen, but this is my first time, I'm new at this system and other women talk about it. I'm feeling little bit or about what the outcome might be. Luis Navarro: My pleasure. Victoria Weil: Thank you. Luis Navarro: Thank you. Michelle Haggar: Within the first -- shrunk down, flattened quite a bit and will affect the work. The next day back to pushing my kids in the shoulder up and down in the street and lifting them up and everything was quite easily back to normal. Linda Leon: Well, you can see that the lump went away right away with that bulging went away right away and I was on a beach for two weeks. It was quite easy. I was fearful in the beginning because veins cutting, I was worried that I was going to tuck something else, but it's been fine and I have no pain in this leg anymore and it looks better too. Luis Navarro: If patients are going to have the spider veins or the varicose veins
