Are medications available to control urinary incontinence? Dr. KarynEilber: For stress incontinence, meaning incontinence that women have with physical activity there is no medication for that. Surgery really is the main treatment. For patients who have overactive bladder or urgent continence medication is the number one prescribed treatments and there are a variety of medications that I'm sure the consumers have seen as advertised on television. In addition to medication for active bladder botox and nerve stimulation is also used.
