Jim Counts: Actually I am here just had their baby two months ago and they won great as safe home environment for long life and themselves. Now you know it's easy arrange your home of things has it is to you and your baby but first you got to be aware of it right. Female Speaker: Right Jim Counts: So I am going to do a quick check around your house looking fro the top ten home health hazards that are quiet often hidden. Right the number ten home health hazard is cleaning supplies somebody is carrying products up pretty toxic you know a great safe way to go green you know may be as baking soda or scouring or vinegars are great cleaner too another common home health hazard is plastics, plastic containers like this, there is some safe ones and there is some not safe ones there is a number in the triangle. Female Speaker: Okay Jim Counts: Number one, two, four and five those are the safe ones, here is number eight hidden health hazard these little magnets fridge magnets they are so dangers fro kids they are choking hazards so use kids friendly magnets they are going to be a lot bigger more safe and also keep them up high out of the reach. The blades these could be really dangerous but you guys have done it perfectly the cords are not too long they are separated if they are nodded up here or they are in a loop if you have those kind you want to cut them. Number 6 your baby's toys. Female Speaker: I never know what to buy him what's safe. Jim Counts: Some times they can be really dangerous especially if they are hanging downs or older toys with the lead paint buy a nice new toy like this also in our website there is a link were you can register to be notified about any toy we call that way your little guys stay safe. All right so we are here with actually a man and you have a little baby Nathan he is in the house now and Lisa you are going to show us how to test some of his toys for left. Jim Counts: So its important because first of it's a silent killer so you don't a baby doesn't get symptoms they just can, they can affect your blood get anemic at higher levels they are going to affect their growth development and they can even cause brain damage and death and let us a bad day. Lisa: Well these actually you can get it any hardware store and they are really inexpensive so every family should have a couple of these on hands.
