Dr. Travis Stork: Elizabeth is in our audience today. Here to help us answer her question is cosmetic dentist Dr. Jack Ringer. Welcome to you both. So Elizabeth, is it true there is something about your smile that you would like to change? Elizabeth: I would like to change everything about my smile. I am really embarrassed. I would love to have straight, white, perfect-looking teeth. So, I have the confidence to just be who I am. Dr. Travis Stork: And so, Dr. Ringer, there is hope, right? Dr. Jack Ringer: Definitely. Dr. Travis Stork: So, talk us about veneers and what they can provide. Dr. Jack Ringer: Well, porcelain veneers are a thin, shallow porcelain, very thin that are made to the color, shapes, specifications based on a design that we do for the patient and then they are bonded on to the tooth permanently. Kind of like press-on nail but permanent. Dr. Travis Stork: And who is a candidate for that? Dr. Jack Ringer: Well, anybody who has unsightly teeth where it may be chipped, severely discolored, small teeth, spaces; virtually anybody in that category can really benefit by it. Dr. Travis Stork: And you got some cool 2D Veneer Imaging, is that right? Dr. Jack Ringer: Yes, that is correct. When patient comes to me, they want to look pretty. I do not know what they want, so what we do is we talk and then we take a digital image and then we manipulate each tooth individually, not a copy paste and we then create based on what the patient wants. The huge benefits to that are if the patient gets to see what they are going to look like before we actually touch them and my ceramist knows exactly what the patient wants. So, there are no mistakes. Dr. Lisa Masterson: Is it a long and painful process? Dr. Jack Ringer: It is a very conservative process. The veneer is so thin. We do very, very little damage if any to the tooth. Dr. Travis Stork: And so, we did this 2D on Elizabeth? Dr. Jack Ringer: Correct, and she has not seen it. So today, we are going to show her for the first time what she is going to look like. Dr. Travis Stork: So, this is your result basically stimulation of what you would look like, your smile. Dr. Jack Ringer: So, do you really like that? Elizabeth: Yes. Dr. Jack Ringer: Well, I’m going to invite you to my office and I am going to do your case for free. Elizabeth: Thank you so much. Dr. Travis Stork: Thank you so much. We appreciate it. Dr. Jack Ringer: You’re welcome.
