Shaving calories off your diet may seem like a painful task but consider that you only have to burn 500 extra calories a day to lose a pound a week. Here are some tips to make eating less less of a chore. Drink water before a meal. Eat your food more slowly. Try putting down your fork between bites. It will make you full with less. Serve food portions no larger than your fist. Don’t eat late at night. Skip buffets. Make a grocery list and eat before shopping.
