Tim's Long Wait for a Heart Transplant Tim: Back in the April 2008, I was doing the dishes and then all of a sudden, I couldn’t breathe. Female: He was having something called the tachycardia, where his heart was beating probably over 200 beats per minute and it couldn’t regulate itself. Tim: Two days later I had a pacemaker and defibrillator. The first time they mentioned a heart transplant was here in Cleveland clinic. My doctor said you’ve got to be organ donor list right away. I have two kids, Jack and Kate, four and two and half so I need to get home, sooner the better. Female: It’s hard without him. Jack: I love you, bye-bye! Tim: I love you too Jack. I’ll talk to you later. Jack: Okay, bye! Kate: Hi Daddy! Tim: I missed my wife, my kids. Yeah I just want to get home. Kate: Daddy!
