I like to give you three tips on what you could do in your home to help remove chemicals that you might be being exposed to. The first would be filter your water. This would be the water that you drink and the water that you cook with. And the simplest way to do that is to get an under the sink reverse osmosis system which they sell at any of the major hardware stores. The second thing that you can do would be to stop using pesticides around the outsides of your home, on your lawn and especially on the inside of your home, you know if you’re using insecticides to kill bugs. There’s a national organization, www.pesticide.org that gives alternatives to killing weeds and insects other than using those toxic pesticides. And then the third thing people could do at home would be to clean up their air. The indoor air is actually more polluted than outdoor air. This was determined by the Environmental Protection Agency a few years ago. So, you should buy some small, room-based air filters for the bedroom and for the TV room that has HEPA technology, H-E-P-A. The HEPA system will filter out almost any chemical and particulate matter that would be in your indoor air. And those would be three simple things that people could do at home.
