Until recently it was difficult to travel by air with oxygen. Only a few airlines would provide oxygen services for their passengers. There recently has been legislation passed which would allow individuals to bring on board their own oxygen concentrators. It’s important to discuss travel with their physician and if they are going to be either flying in an aircraft that are pressurized usually between 5,000 and 8,000 feet normal atmosphere, normal pressurized cabins or if they are going to be traveling to some place that’s at high altitude then it’s important to discuss that in advance, but preparation could be made to use supplemental oxygen if it’s necessary.
