The Zottman Curl Exercise Hi I'm Gary Allegretto. I'm from Los Angeles, California and this is my signature move. Here’s the up position, here’s the down. Okay, just kidding. Here’s my signature move folks, It’s called the Zottman Curl. This is an old school exercise. It was invented in the ‘80s, at 1880s, folks. Start this exercise as you would a normal dumbbell curl, just like that coming up to the top. Squeeze at the top and then we’re rotating on an over hang grip and come back down. It’s simple but it’s effective. A great exercise, really not that complex, it’s a very simple curl exercise using the normal dumbbell curls and then turning them around and coming down. But that exercise works both sides to your arm. Again, you're coming up, squeeze at the top, rotate, and come down. Before you lock your elbows, turn the weights again. Come back up. Again, working your biceps on the way up, your fore arms on the way down. Okay, now there’s a version that I do of this exercise, that’s a little different. Here we go. My version of it, well that’s a little bit of bizarre there I think. That’s a little bit of rhythm and cardiovascular and we all love this.
