Hi! I’m Dr. Mark Savant and welcome to Savant M.D; today’s wellness tip is about diet and your health. One of the things I’ve been talking about with my patients for years is that the quality of the food you eat has an important impact on your health. For instance it’s better to eat real whole food in moderate portions than reduce to calorie food. Traditional diets like an Asian or Mediterranean diet have unfolded over centuries to meet the needs of people. Avoid fast food, package food and process foods.
