Do Women Need To Exercise And Use Medical Therapies To Control Blood Pressure And Cholesterol Effectively? Dr. Iva Smolens: A lot of patients asked, can exercise is a planed taking Medical Therapy or vise versa? I’m on Medical Therapy do I still need to exercise? You actually still need to do both. The cardiovascular exercises recommended for a number of reasons not just to keep your blood pressure and cholesterol low but it also helps your heart stay healthy in terms of exercise and in terms with your heart rate and blood pressure control. In terms of medical management you may need that in addition to exercise routine and one should not to precede the other.
