Sarah Alligood: I am Sarah Alligood. I am a registered dietitian at the International Food Information Council Foundation. Today we are talking about how to eat right and feel great. And right now, we are going to focus on physical activity. Female Speaker: What does it mean to be physically active? Sarah Alligood: To be physically active basically means that, you are giving about 30 minutes a day most days of the week a moderate intensity activity. Now moderate intensity that's about the same intensity as like a brisk walk. So, it's enough to get your breathing rate up a little bit, your hearts pump in a little bit faster. What it's not is it's not defined by activity. For example, you don't have to be running to be physically active. You can do any activity that you enjoy. Anything that gets your by move in that you love and everyday you are going to want to do and stick with is absolutely perfect.
