Speaker: Why is fiber important to my health? Jeannette Bessinger: So fiber really helps your gastro-intentional health. It helps to keep your system clean. Fibre also helps your glucose tolerance if you are a diabetic or a prediabetic it helps you with your insulin responds and keep your sugar more balanced and it helps reduce your risk for certain forms of cancer. And other important component of fiber is that it helps you feel full, helps you feel more satisfied more quickly so you tend to eat less food.
