Eating Low with Amy! Your guide to low carb, low cal, low fat cooking! Episode 15: Evil Fortune Cookie Hi! This is Amy and welcome to Eating Low. I’m going to make a really quick protein powder fortune cookie to go with all this like Chinese food we are making. So what I’ve done is take in the normal ingredients for the Evil Protein Cookie. It’s a packet of Splenda, a half scoop of the whey protein powder and vanilla and then a little bit of the—I can’t believe it’s not butter spray, I usually put in like a half a teaspoon and then some water and mix it all together and so you can see it made kind of like a batter. My butter I spread it out kind of flash at time and I’m just going to pop it in the microwave for maybe about 25 seconds and this time I want to do for little less time because I don’t want it cook as hard, I want it to be kind of flexible and pliable so that’s going to do the thing. And I just got the idea to make this because I can’t eat fortune cookies now but, I’ve been making a lot of egg rolls and sushi and things like that. So I’ve got my little cookie that came out of the oven. This is a little puffy. What you’re going to do – it’s very hot. We got a kind of a circle shape right now, you're going to fold that in half and go slow so it doesn’t break. I learn this by watching how they make fortune cookies, you're going to bend it and you're just going to bend it over to the side of the bowl and you have to do it really slowly so that it doesn’t tear it or break it in half and so kind of look perfect but, it will be close, and you got to kind of hold it there. The cookies are still really hot so it’s kind of molding into the shape and this is kind of fortuneless cookie because I didn’t stick a fortune in there. So it’s getting better, it’s starting to cool off and there you see you have a protein powder fortune cookie. How cool is that? And this you know you don’t kind of eat like as million over the years I think it’s a really fun if you did a theme party or something, you could make little whey protein powder fortune cookies. So, thanks for eating low with Amy.
