Health and Fitness 10,000 Steps What we tell people is 10,000 steps a day. It was an interesting concept and I think a great thing for someone who is just getting into exercise to get a pedometer. You can get an expensive one, you can get an inexpensive one but they are pretty much affordable and you can put it on your shoe or you put it on your hip and you walk. And you move throughout your day and you see how closer you come to 10,000 steps. The most people found out that they are around three, four or five thousands steps a day. And so you try and go for 10,000 steps a day.
