Female: I’m going to show mom my best dirty tricks to get the kids eating kid friendly food that’s also healthy but they are never going to know. Female: Like a lot of the stuff she makes that’s really healthy, we don’t really like them like fruits and vegetables. Female: She forces us to eat. Female: I want them to eat well but I don’t want to have a battle ground in my kitchen. Female: Just give me a hotdog. Female: Alright, so you need to practice like getting them excited about the meal but not telling them what’s in the meal. What I’m thinking is we’re going to do like meatball recipes for the girls. Female: Great! Female: What we’re going to do is like undercover healthy stuff. This is probably something that you wouldn’t eat. Female: No. Female: These are buttered. Female: No, that would be a no. Female: We’re going to put them in the food processor. We are so camouflaging it. Alright, so now that we have the turkey and the beans, let’s add everything else that is a quarter cup of parmesan cheese because we really want to mask the flavor of the beans. What you’re chopping up is baby spinach that we’re going to put into the meat balls but they’re going to think it’s like oregano also it’s kind of Italian herbs. Phase two of Julia and Lily’s perception here and that is the sauce; we’re going to the sauce. We are going to add carrot juice. So now that you have all these mommy survival trick, I think we’re ready to make meatballs with the girls. Female: Great! Female: You see all that Italian herbs in there, those nice Italian seasoning that looks good. Female: Yeah. Female: Alright, so let’s bring this pasta sauce over and we can add the meatballs right in. Alright, let’s make pizza. So we have this really good crust right and we’re going to put some pasta sauce on it. So now remember those really great meatballs you guys made, we’re going to put them on the pizza? Where should I put this? Female: Everywhere. Female: What’s the next thing we have to add -- that’s right, you’re going to put the cheese on it, perfect! So now we are ready to pop this going into the oven. Okay? Female: I love it. Female: What do you guys think? Female: I love it. Female: So this has been a success. Female: Yes. Female: Alright, definitely. Male: That looks good. Male: Oh my goodness. Male: But we know every mom out there is asking, how does that sauce taste? So we actually made Susanna’s recipe so we could tell you first hand. So shall we? Male: Shall we try it? Male: This looks good and this is on holy crust, you can see some of the good greens in there. Male: That’s good, I need a napkin. Male: We’ll talk in a little while. Can we go to commercial? Male: That’s actually really good. A lot of people don’t like whole wheat crust pizza but I really like it.
