For making sex an off-limits topic can actually peak their interest more in causing to experiment without the proper knowledge of what they are getting into. Here are some tips on how to talk to your teen about sex. First, don't lecture them and be prepared to hear things you may not agree with, If this is a case then just calmly ask them questions to get a better idea of why they feel the way they do. Also if you are more candid about your feelings towards the topic, just to make your teenager feel more comfortable and more willing to discuss their feelings. Most importantly listen to your teen and don't interrupt. If you're constantly cutting them off, they are going to feel like you're not really hearing what they actually have to say.
