EmpowHer Asks: What are the symptoms for type 1 diabetes? Henry Do, MD Hospitalist/Regional Medical Officer Well the classic symptoms of Type I Diabetes is frequent urination, feeling hungry all the time, feeling thirsty all the time, but most patients who present with Type I Diabetes don’t really have all those classic symptoms. Most of the time the diagnosis is made by routine blood test or the patient can do a diagnostic specific things as getting tired, feeling run down, feeling not themselves, really just more worry not specific dates, they're just not feeling well and that we pick up on routine blood test.
