Cathy Cole: I'm Cathy Cole and I've lived in Sun Valley area for 35 years. I'm familiar with the Wellness Festival, but this is the first time that I'm going to actually be able to participate since I'm suffering from osteoarthritis. I'm really curios to find out all the different ways that I can get help. Renee Miller: My name is Renee Miller. I'm an independent distributor for MonaVie. This is my first year as a vender at the Wellness Festival and so the experience for myself has been amazing. Dan: For someone unfamiliar with this area of wellness or healing, a holistic healing if you will they might go – I'm not sure this is for me, it sounds a little new agey or it sound not the kind of thing I would normally do. We get into this inertia where we stay home doing the usual thing just to get out of the house and go to some place different is a big deal. But once we do we’ll be we did. Sharon Parker: My name is Sharon Parker and I've lived in the area since 1963. I've been coming to this even since it first started 10 years ago and I've been a participant in the event for 10 years. I just love these events because everybody has such good energy and everybody wants to be well, and everybody wants to go to higher spiritual plateau and its just one of those fun things. Renee Miller: The atmosphere is just relaxing. I mean these sounds corny but its loving. And the people that come through here are really looking for better health and just kind of serenity. I mean it’s awesome. I love it here. Dr. Alberto Villoldo: I'm Dr. Alberto Villoldo. I'm a medical anthropologist and I’ve been researching the indigenous healing practices of the Americas. Unless you heal emotionally, unless you heal your childhood wounds, unless you heal your self-esteem and unless you develop the connection with the earth, with nature and with spirit then you can never be completely healed. Renee Miller: The feeling of wanting to be part of all of these just – it empowers you. It’s a pretty amazing thing. Sharon Parker: I was able to listen to Dan Millman speak on Friday night and he just kind of put the basics into focus so that you remembered that the important things were to eat moderately, exercise moderately everyday and get enough sleep. Yesterday, I listened to David Pond and his message is about how we’re going out of me, myself and I mentality and getting into focus that its important that we all participate in helping with the problems that are facing us in the world. Alberto Villoldo kind of carried that theme forward last night and in the workshop today we’re just working on the different ways that each of us as individuals can help to do that. Dr. Alberto Villoldo: The practice of wellness has to do with the practice of healthy lifestyle that involves what you eat, what you think, how you pray, how you love and how you experience the world as a blissful and joyous place and not as a series of challenges and an ocean of suffering. Sharon Parker: I think people in this day and age are looking for a lot of different answers and so they might be coming here to try and clarify what’s going on in world in general because it’s pretty confusing out there right now. And so they're looking for clarity and they're looking for something to make them feel better about what’s going on.
