Success Rate of Catheter Ablations The catheter ablation’s success rate depends on what type of arrhythmia. More frequently and not for abnormal circuits, single points or very defined circuits, the success rate can be over 98% to be able to get rid of that and say it's cured for good. On the other hand, more complex abnormal rhythm like atrial fibrillation, success rate ranges between 40 to 70%, depending on what type of abnormal rhythm, and those are not one single point or one simple circuit. I wish they all are. Then I can confidently say you’re cured, but it really depends on what type of abnormal rhythm. But the good news is that more or so often than not, there is a cure for it.
