Steak Fajita with Strawberry and Kiwi Salad Video

I love Mexican foods so today we are going to make one of my favorites, Steak Fajitas with Saleding Kiwi. It has lots of vegetables in it plus great source of protein and the salad just gives that nice refreshing taste. For this recipe, we are going to use a variety of vegetables. We got some peppers, green, yellow and red, rostinis tomatoes, have lycopene which is an excellent antioxidant. Onions, you can use white onions. I like to add a little bit of red in addition and then we are going to use some sliced meat. Spray the pan with some non stick cooking spray then we are going to take our beef, add it to the pan. You are going to cook it about four to five minutes until the beef is done. It is going to cook pretty quickly because it is thinly sliced. You will notice that the meat is slightly brown. It is been about four to five minutes and now let us take it off. We are going to put it aside, and just keep it warm. With the same pan, you are going to take some oil then we are going to add all of the fresh vegetables and cook them to about few minutes until they are tender. You want to make sure that the onions get a little formalized and that the vegetables are sort of tender and soft. What I like about this meal, besides that it is being my favorite is that it is full of the vegetables which you are getting a lot of vitamins and minerals. So it is the easy way to get all of the nutrients right in there. After we have cooked them a little bit, we are going to add the steak back to the vegetables and cook it about for two more minutes. This is very simple and easy, and really, you can add any vegetables that you like to prefer. We are using steak today which you can also use chicken or shrimp, or any other protein. I wish you guys smell the aroma. I am going to take the vegetables and the meat, and just put it aside for a few minutes. In that way, it cools down just a little bit, still keeps it warm. But you do not want it too hot when you are putting it into the tortia. I usually like my tortias a little warm. You can put them in the microwave just for a few seconds but even better, while you are cooking, you can go ahead and just take your tortia, place it in into a small frying pan and just warm it few seconds, apple size. It does not take that long. Take the tortia, we are going to place it on the plate. And now, we are ready to add the meat and the vegetables. What I do is I usually add it right to the center, I will show you a little trick on how to fold these tortias. Do not think I had become the expert in folding. You can take a little bit of sour cream, low fat. I like to top it right on it. And then you can add a little cheese shred it that usually melts right into the vegetables. Take the bottom part, fold it up, take the side, fold it in. take the other side, fold it in. If you just want to temporarily hold it together, you can stick a toothpick right in. For me, I usually just begin with me just starting to it. We are going to add a little bit of greens to it so have some mixed greens here. I like to put up something a little fruity so, I add a little strawberries. Salad is not just for vegetables. You can add any fresh fruit that you like as well. I put little strawberries, my favorite kiwi. You can top it with some low fat dressing, or any type of raspberry vinaigrette or fruit vinaigrette that you have. And there you have it, your perfect Mexican fiesta meal.
