Host: Should I stay at home if I have a cold and if so, for how long? Ronald Turner: Well, I think that is a behavioral question, not a medical question. I think it depends a little bit on what's your work environment is like and what your duties are. I think if you are in a work environment that requires you to have contact with a lot of people and you have a cold, you have to recognize that you are potentially going to spread that to your coworkers. On the other hand, if your work involves sitting in an office, typing at a keyboard there is probably no much reason to stay home, unless you just feel like you can not do your work.
