Travis: And we actually had someone this morning in our audience who said that she wants to have some these growths removed today. So, Karina, you’re still up for it? Come on up here. Welcome. Karina: Thank you. Travis: Go ahead. Dr. Ablon: Hello my dear. Travis: Get comfortable. While Dr. Ablon gets ready, the point that she wants to make is she’s a doctor. She’s going to clip off your skin tag but what message do you have for people at home? Dr. Ablon: First thing, number one is I’ve actually numbed the skin tag. The most important thing when you’re taking off skin tags is that they can have a really good blood supply. So, if you snip it off yourself or cut or anything, they bleed and you can end up in an emergency room. So, it’s really important to be careful with that. Travis: And they can get so easily infected if you don’t do it under sterile conditions. Dr. Ablon: Absolutely. Yes, correct. So, I have it actually already numb in our break, the skin tag right here and now that it’s numb, I’ve got some epinephrine in there, lidocaine as well. I’m going to take this little snip here and you can see; it’s gone. Travis: Just like that. Dr. Ablon: And there’s our little skin tag right there. Travis: And then you can also use cattery, is that right? Dr. Ablon: Yes and the other thing that you can do, especially when they’re very tiny, we oftentimes will do the snipping with larger ones but with very tiny ones, we can actually take the electrodessication. We can come over. Again, this is numb and we can do a little cattery on it. Does that hurt at all Karina? Karina: No. Dr. Ablon: And the nodes will just fall off. Travis: A lot of people at home are going to be watching thinking, “I have such bigger skin tags can Karina, would this work for me?” Dr. Ablon: You can do this on larger skin tags. You can do it on any size. The skin tags don’t grow back. What happens is you can develop new ones but yes; you can do them on any skin tag and any skin tag size. Travis: What do you think? Dr. Ablon: That was pretty easy? Karina: I’m glad they’re gone. Travis: You just had surgery on the set of The Doctors. Thank you so very much. Thank you Dr. Ablon.
