Skin Procedure for Sagging Skin Dr. Drew Ordon: That’s right Travis. We’re in the procedure room. Launa Stone is back with us from the Launa Stone Med Spa at Calabasas, California. Our patient Lorelei, a new wrinkle buster skin tightening technique, skin tight. We’re going to explain to you exactly what we’re doing. But first, let’s see what Lorelei looked before she started her treatment. You see some of that laxity, a little bit of crappiness, a little bit of bending that she’s getting in the neck. So, we’ve got a new technology for her, right? Launa Stone: We do. Dr. Drew Ordon: So, tell us some, a little bit about that. Launa Stone: We’re actually making collagen. This is the newest technology, this is the future. We’re using infrared light to heat epidermis, which is where your fibroblast are that produce your collagen. So, we get immediate collagen constriction and then over the next two to three months, we are getting skin tightening by increasing the collagen production that thickens the skin. So, it works really good for thin, loose, lax, aging skin. Dr. Drew Ordon: Collagen, that’s the key substance in your dermis to give you youthful, lustrous skin. What happens with ageing, as things stretch as we get older, the collagen is not bound tightly in a triple helix. It gets stretched out. So, what we’re doing with the heat, we’re allowing that collagen to contract and in effect, form a slight injury that promotes more production of collagen. So, several treatments typically and you space those out every few weeks, right? Launa Stone: Yeah, they’re every four weeks. Dr. Drew Ordon: And no discomfort, right? Launa Stone: No discomfort. Dr. Drew Ordon: All right. Let’s see how Lorelei looks after a series of having this done several times now. We’re looking at the before and we have Lorelei live after three sessions with Launa. I know I can definitely see it. That has tightened that up. Good for you. Good job, nice job. Launa Stone: Thank you. Dr. Drew Ordon: So, another noninvasive technology. It’s done a nice thing for Lorelei.
