Single Leg Shoulder Press Exercise Hello my name is Steve Johnson and I'm a fitness trainer in the West Hollywood. California. Today I'm going to be showing you an advance exercise called Single Leg Shoulder Press. This exercise works at the tops of the delts, tops of your shoulders and also your core stabilizers. Now this is an advanced exercise because we’re working several things at the same time. To begin, you’re going to need two dumbbells at your sides. Start with your feet shoulder distance apart, go ahead and lift your right leg up and go ahead and flex that toe. And as we’re balancing we’re using our core stabilizers so as the abs the lower back muscles to maintain the balance. By flexing your toe you’re going to incorporate the abs and more of your abs muscles. Now also for the other leg that’s standing you can have a slight bend to it or you can make it straight. For the upper portion of our body we’re going to go ahead and extend our arms up to the sides like football goal post and go ahead and extend the weights over your head as far as you can without locking out your elbows, there we go. Good, go ahead and exhale on the downward and up top for the upper body which is working our deltoids and it’s a very effective exercise although very mashed. Now exercise is amazing you’re working many things at the same time. You’re working your core stabilizers, your abs, and your lower back. You’re working the tops of your shoulders. Also if you want to get a little bit cardio burn go ahead and alternate it out and increase the speed if you want to. That’s going to get your heart rate up and recover. Excellent, wow, I feel quite a burn in my abs and my shoulder. I know you do too, good job.
