Hi! I am Kim Taylor DiLeva and I've another great book to share with you today. If you're doing clothing with your child or your students or you're doing weather signs, this is a great book that I absolutely love to use in both of those themes. If am using weather signs with my child or my class, or if I am doing clothing signs with my class or with my child, then I'll use this book for both purposes. It's called 'Hello, Sun!' by Dayle Ann Dodds. And in this story that the opportunity to do every piece of clothing, well not every, but a lot of pieces of clothing as well as a lot of different types of weather because it changes everyday. And so I'll share a little bit of it with you so that you can see how it goes. It goes Hello, Sun! We'll sign sun, circle with rays coming down, sun. Hello, Sun! Cheerful and light these pants and shirt, will be just right. Now I am dressed and ready to go. I opened the door but then, Uh-Oh! Hello clouds, and here is the sign for clouds. Clouds fluffy and gray, sweaters that are wear this day. Now I am dressed and ready to go. I opened the door but then, Uh-Oh! So the first day, and this child gets dressed for the type of weather but then the weather changes. On the next page, and then they have to change what it is that they are wearing. And so it's great to practice clothing signs and weather signs. And it goes -- Hello Wind! So what I am showing you is the weather signs so far. Wind, back and forth as if the breeze is blowing in front of you. Hello wind, chilly and snappy. A scarf and jacket will make me happy. Now I am dressed and ready to go. I opened the door but then, Uh-Oh! Now of course, babies love to do Uh-Oh, with you. It's usually closed to one of their first words because they love to say that one. So if they can participate in the story, not only through signing the different weather signs or signing the different clothing signs or both, but they can also participate by saying Uh-Oh, which they love to do. So I love to use the story. I highly recommend that Hello, Sun! By Dayle Ann Dodds to help practice clothing and weather signs.
