THE TOWEL WORKOUT Hi! I'm Martica Heaner, Exercise Physiologist and Certified Personal Trainer. This towel exercise is at the side slide. Start by standing with your feet hip width apart and place one foot on top of the towel. Then sit and slide your leg out to the side, bending your front knee to about 90°. Squeeze your glute then come back up. As you lower, push your weight back away from that front knee. Now to make this move a little easier, just reduce your range of motion. We'll bend half way then squeeze your glute and then come back up. If you want an extra challenge to make this move harder, go ahead and grab another towel and this time as you slide out to the sides raise your arm to resist against the towel from here in the semi-squat position. Bring your extended leg back in, keeping your weight back and your heel, squeeze the glutes and come back. Do 8 to 12 repetitions, then switch sides.
