Sexy Burlesque Home Workout: Fun Cardio Dance Moves Zelana Montminy: Burlesque, it’s not just a movie it’s actually a great work out. Inspired by Christina Aguilera’s tone physique in the film, we’ve brought in Janelle Dote to show us three easy moves you can do at home that don’t require any equipment. The grapevine swivel, the step out stroke down and drop it like it’s hot. Janelle Dote: I've worked on music videos with Jennifer Lopez, Mario. The first move I'm going to show you, the grapevine swivel. Now we’re mirroring you, so it’s a little easier for you to follow along at home. First move, grapevine swivel, starting with your right foot, take four steps to your right. It’s one; two, three together four pick it with your right foot five, six, seven and eight. Let’s try the grapevine swivel five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven and eight. Zelana Montminy: I can really feel that in my lower body. It targets the adductors, the glute and then when you get really into it you’ll get your quad and your hamstring. Janelle Dote: So now you're ready to move on to the second step, the step-out and stroke down. Starting with the step-out on each foot with your right foot step out, step out left on two, chest pop three, jump together four, it's a slow swivel five, six, quick seven and quick eight as you stroke down your body. And I see you're ready? Zelana Montminy: I'm ready. Janelle Dote: Here we go five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven and eight. Zelana Montminy: I really love this move. I can already feel it in my abs. You're using your upper abs, your lower abs and your midsection. And even with those popping moves, you're using your core to stabilize yourself. Janelle Dote: Okay, you're ready for your third and final step the drop it like it’s hot. So remember the lower you can go the better for your workout but do what you can do and just build up to that. First move, you're going to drop down on one, jumped out on two over your right leg, snake up three four. Keep your legs open drop down five, jump out over your left leg on six and snake up to seven and eight. Let’s all try this together you're ready? Five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven and eight. Zelana Montminy: With this move you will sweat coming on that’s because it’s a power move. When you go down to come up, you're using your cardio and strength training to really maximized your workout. Janelle Dote: So now you’ve learned all three moves, we’re going to put them together, get into costume, let down our hair and give you the full burlesque effect. All right, so now let’s put it all together, you're ready and here we go five, six, seven, grapevine one, two, three, four, swivel five, six, seven and eight. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven and eight, drop one, two, three, four, five, six, seven and eight. Good! Zelana Montminy: If you really want to amp this up, put on a pair of heels, the higher the better. You'll feel muscles working that you didn’t even know exist. Thank you so much, Janelle.
