Marni: Hey It Moms, when is the last time that you take an adventure that makes your skin tingle? Holly: There's nothing like staring death in the face every now and then to remind you that can handle anything. We're moms. Let's rock it. Marni: Right. Holly: Alright, we're not totally crazy. We do have a guide. This is Jim Ablao with Track, Stone, and Climbing. Jim is going to show us around Sniff rock today, a world renowned rock climbing destination. Marni: Wow, I hope that’s not me in ten minutes. Holly: That’s not what you want to do. Does that look right? Marni: Okay. Holly: You certainly want to get your gear on right. So can an average person, mom, can do this. Jim: Your tendency, your intuition is going to be to grab and pull. But that only last so long. You really want to use your legs. Marni: I can use my legs. Jim: In general, woman make better climbers, especially starting out. Holly: Remember, make better climbers. You hear that, you can do this. Jim: The helmets we wear today are primarily for stuff from about falling down rather than bouncing your head on the rock. Marni: Alright. Here goes nothing. Where the front of this? Step one, where's the front of this helmet? Jim: Before you climb, you always do a safety check. So all eyes are on me to make me sure that my harness is on right. It’s nice and snug, my buckles are good. Marni: Alright stop. My stomach is turning. My stomach is turning. I'm like a human pretzel right now. Okay. Okay, all I need to do is catch that thing, right? It’s like a foot away, but it seems so far away. Jim: Get yourself a hand hole. But you're fine. There you go. Marni: Oh my gosh. Okay, I'm totally falling. Jim: So let your feet come out in front so the bottom of your feet is facing the rock. Marni: High five. I'm good, I've done it. I'm not going to do it again. Holly: It’s so weird because you like kind of want to depend on the rope to help you. Jim: There you go. Holly: Is this bird poop. This is a little harder. Wow, this is terrifying but fun. Oh my God, she's so happy to catch me if I fall. Oh wait, I want to look. Oh, it is beautiful. It’s really pretty. My gosh. I'm falling off the rock, I almost fall. Oh thank God for that rope. Jim: Now inside the big crack that’s in front of you, there's a hole. Holly: I touched it. Jim: Nice. Okay, now ready? I'm lowering. Holly: This is so fun. It Moms, you need to try this. Little adventure in your life, we all need it. And I made it. I made it. Okay, I made it. Yes, we have overcome rocks. Yey, that was awesome. Okay It Moms break out of a routine every now and then and have yourself a hair raising adventure. Marni: It’s empowering. It opens your mind and it changes your view of life.
