I'm 45. I waited till I was 44 until I took a pill, an anti-anxiety drug because I dealt with paranoid. I have got a paranoid schizophrenic brother that killed her mother. I've got a paranoid brother that killed himself and I dealt with a great deal of fear, I've dealt with so much anxiety and damn it, I just couldn't figure out myself. Joy (ph) killed her mother in 1989 and I wanted nothing to do with him, nobody wanted anything to with him. In 1994, I found my way back to him and since that time, we have been in very close contact. I visit him twice a year for like a week. We write all the time and he calls me twice a week, and he's made incredible changes in who he was. When I first went to see him, he didn't know what he did and he was pretty much out of his mind. He took me go in there a family member to ask for medication for him and he is come around. I've forgiven my brother, it took a long time to forgive Joy, but yeah, I've forgiven him. The other option is carrying around bitterness, carrying around hate, carrying around condemnation, that's not going to do him any good and he needs a big brother. So it works out and because I have faced paranoia as well, it's good to have him to talk to because I know he understands me, the little times that I've been afraid.
