Length of stay in the hospital after hip replacement surgery is going to vary depending on this local surgeon and the hospital’s routine. But for the most part, it’s usually three or four days. Oftentimes with older patients going to some kind of skilled rehab facility to get some additional physical therapy and monitoring if they don’t have enough help at home. If they have good support and help at home, then the best place for the patient to go after hospital is home.
