Probably the most important current studies ongoing are looking at the effects of hormones in younger women versus older women. The data very strongly indicate that women who start hormones, estrogen in particular, at the time of menopause and continue them for a very long time have reduction not only in heart attack, but also a reduction in overall mortality, so in other words they live longer. We need more studies to verify this finding, so we, as well as others, are doing studies in this specific area currently as we speak.
