Life Changes Due to Prediabetes The first and the most important things go out there and modify lifestyle. Now we hear a lot of these modify lifestyle. We hear a lot about these diets, but I’ll tell you we just did a whole consensus conference on how to manage patient who have Prediabetes, which we defined as improved glucose in the morning fasting or improved glucose after being stimulated in a test, and we’ve got 56 million people in this country that have improved glucose tolerance and no one gave them. Any recommendation of how to manage them because there is not drug approved for that. So, there is no recommendation on what to do and how to manage them. The majority of those patients do have insulin resistance syndrome and metabolic syndrome. So, those recommendations of this, so we examined what works and we saw for a woman and as well as men and she can get her friends, spouses also on the same program. We saw that just in minimal weight loss of no more that 5% up to 10%, which really is not that much, is going to wonder in her life. We also saw that not just modified calories, but perhaps just change the ratio of those calories. And if she would uses the amount of carbohydrate and keep a reasonable amount of protein and then fat which should be nice distributed, then she could just leave that, improve your risk a lot. And then exercise. What is exercise? Just do almost daily if you cannot three to four times a day, 30, 45 minutes as much as you can spare, just brisk walking. Nothing more than that will tremendously improve our condition. It can be done at night across the television, it can be done during class or taking a lot of cause the block or whatever. You know one of the problems we have, we do not recognize that our activity is everyday getting less because of so much great technological advances that we have. So we are using everything now you talk on the phone, you press your ear. You don’t need to even get up to go to the phone. So, women can recognize, it go up to the door to open it, don’t press on it, walk out to your secretary and talk to rather the news in the intercom. You know, people are now see the room next to him, they don’t talk to each other, they email to each other. So be much more active when you do that. And then, if you still see that you’ve got difficulty to control it, please go forward and perhaps with a healthcare professional that can help you with all of that
