Host: What kind of care will a patient need after suffering a stroke? Dr. Nina Solenski: Stroke patients will need a lot of care in some instances. It really depends on how disabled they are from that stroke. There are strokes that ac have a very good outcome. They look horrible when they occur, but they actually recover very quickly and near complete. Other strokes are massive and so they will require again, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy and even psychological counseling and things like that, that treats the whole person to be able to get them back into a normal life setup.
