EmpowHer What book would you recommend women read when diagnosed with breast cancer? Dr. Jay Harness, M.D. Past-President of the American Society of Breast Surgeons My friend and breast surgeon colleague Dr. Susan Love has had a book out for many years. I believe there’s a second edition of that book. There are others. I would do a good Web search. Susan’s is the one I’m the most familiar with. There are other physicians who have written other books. Sitting here just sort of off the top of my head, there are probably at least half a dozen books out there. I would go to places like Google, Barnes & Noble if they still exist any longer, you know, any of the other bookstore sites, and do a search. You want to never forget the American Cancer Society who has good literature on breast cancer, and not a book but one of the websites that, besides EmpowHer, that I want to recommend that people go to, is breastcancer.org. And then the National Cancer Institute has a good site called cancer.gov, and the website for the American Cancer Society is cancer.org.
