Male: Here’s another food network in the kitchen tip. Female: Hey, if you’re watching your fat but you just can't give up rich mash potatoes altogether, I’ve got a healthier version for you to try out. Instead of cream and butter, try smashing up your potatoes with some skim milk. It’s fat free and it does a heck of a job. I’ve got some small new potatoes here, I smashed mine with the skins on. it just leaves extra texture and vitamins in there. Then I spice them up, I like adding horseradish, nice forkful of that. Some fresh herbs like some parsley, salt to taste, give it a little stir and away you go, you’re never going to miss that butter or cream. You want a couple more ideas, how’s about some reduced fat sour cream and chives or some extra virgin olive oil? Excellent. Try these smashed potatoes and you’re never going to taste the difference.
